The selection committee, composed of three professors, one from each faculty of the University of Luxembourg will evaluate the applications on the basis of the selection criteria enumerated above.
The beneficiaries of the past year, who succeeded their exams, will receive the grand for a consecutive year. In order to receive the grant, they are requested to submit the application form.
The three Professors will preselect up to 6 candidates and will communicate the results to the Fondation Léa Sinner. The Management Committee of the Fondation Léa Sinner will validate the final selection of the scholarship recipients.

The Luxembourg Foreign Affairs Masters Scholarship gives priority to students from the network of international partners of the University of Luxembourg.
All candidates must submit an application including:- Personal statement/motivation letter
- CV
- Two letters of recommendation, with full contact details (academic)
The application procedure for acceptance into the relevant Master programme is separate to this Scholarship. Candidates are invited to visit the relevant master application webpage for deadlines.
Applications will be evaluated by the course directors of the respective Master programmes. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an online interview.
Laureates are chosen based on the following criteria:
- Outstanding academic achievement
- Originality of the personal statement and motivation for applying

Procedure
The Scholarship is aimed at financially supporting outstanding international Master students, allowing them to focus on their academic and relevant extracurricular work.
The stipend is paid in monthly instalments of 500EUR for a duration of 10 months per academic year, for a maximum of two years, as well as free accommodation in a student residence hall for the duration of the master programme. Payment is subject to a performance assessment and can be withheld, for example in case of academic misconduct, poor results or withdrawal from the Master programme.
The Scholarship cannot be combined with any other type of grant funded by the Luxembourg government.
Detailed terms and conditions are set out in the acceptance letter by the University of Luxembourg. Laureates will sign a declaration of honor in acceptance of the terms and conditions of the Luxembourg Foreign Affairs Masters Scholarship.

Guardian Europe Funds is an international talent support programme. The Guardian Glass Scholarship aims to attract high-performing international students applying to master programmes at the University of Luxembourg’s, Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine.

Financial support
The stipend is paid in four instalments (€5,000 at the beginning of each winter semester, followed by a second instalment of €5,000 at the beginning of each summer semester per academic year) for the regular duration of study, for a maximum of two years. Payment is subject to a performance assessment each semester and can be withheld in case of poor academic results, academic misconduct, or withdrawal from the Master’s programme. Tuition fees are not included in the scholarship. The scholarship cannot be cumulated with any other type of grant financed by the Luxembourg government or a similar scholarship funded by a private sponsor.

About the partnership
Advanzia Bank plans to continue to offer the fellowship opportunity every two years to one student, which includes a monthly stipend, an internship opportunity as well as the possibility for a summer job.

About the internship
Advanzia Bank will offer the opportunity of an internship to the selected and supported master student for performing the 4th semester internship in Advanzia Bank’s Risk department.
The internship will have the maximum duration of six months (one semester). During this time the master student will have the opportunity to finalise her/his master thesis.

Selection procedure
The University, together with the ATOZ Foundation under the aegis of the Fondation de Luxembourg, will select the Fellowship recipient students and fund their grants.
The selection committee, composed of. Prof. Dr. Werner Haslehner (University of Luxembourg) and the members of the Management Committee of the ATOZ Foundation, will consider each applicant’s cover letter, as well as the overall impression of the applicants and their financial needs.
Please note, that incomplete files will be immediately rejected. No appeal is possible against the decisions. By applying to the scholarship programme, the applicant accepts this regulation in its entirety.
For the selected students to benefit from the scholarship programme, they will have to sign a separate “fellowship agreement”.

Bâloise Assurances Luxembourg SA and Bâloise Vie Luxembourg SA Fellowship & Internship
The University of Luxembourg signed a partnership agreement with Bâloise Assurances Luxembourg SA and Bâloise Vie Luxembourg SA in February 2020 providing a framework for a student fellowship and internship programme.

Internship
During their second year of study, Fellowship laureates will be given the opportunity to complete an internship at the Ferrero HQ in Luxembourg. Internships will be allocated in agreement with the host company and are subject to an internship contract.
The Ferrero HQ in Luxembourg is home to numerous business functions of the company and reasonable effort will be made to assign placements according to the career interests and ambitions of the Fellowship laureates.

The Fondation Jacqueline NOEL, under the aegis of the Fondation de Luxembourg, grants merit-based scholarships for for recently graduated doctoral students of the University of Luxembourg having defended their thesis in the fields of Economics or International Development.
The Fondation Jacqueline NOEL was created in homage to Jacqueline NOEL, a world citizen and fervent European.Jacqueline NOEL shared the belief of Nelson Mandela, a figure whom she had the chance to meet during her career, that “education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Born during the German occupation, Mrs. NOEL grew up to be a dedicated student, earning a Doctorate in Economic Sciences from the Université Libre in Brussels. She began her career as a researcher at the World Bank, then at the European Investment Bank.
The foundation was created in her memory by her dear friend in the hopes of perpetuating Mrs. NOEL’s values and ideals, namely the belief that hard work and dedication can lead to fulfilment in one’s life while creating positive change for the benefit of all.

Linklaters Luxembourg and the University of Luxembourg have partnered to launch the Linklaters Making Links Programme in Luxembourg, recognising and supporting outstanding students pursuing a Bachelor of Law degree at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance (FDEF).
The Making Links Programme, which is also being implemented in Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon, Milan, Paris and Stockholm is specifically designed to help talented university students from underrepresented groups succeed in their early careers by supporting the development of technical and professional skills whilst building strong commercial fluency and a global outlook.
Two high-potential students, who also demonstrate financial need, will be selected in their third year of the Bachelor in Law degree and will receive a scholarship of €3,000 during their final year. They will also be offered a Legal summer Internship at Linklaters.
