To apply for a programme at the University of Luxembourg, candidates must comply with the general eligibility criteria for the chosen programme type and be selected by the study programme based on the quality of their application.

Required Degree
Bachelor degree or equivalent (180 ECTS) in German studies (Germanistik)
Language requirements: German C1 level (CEFR), French B2 level (CEFR), English B1 level (CEFR). -
Language Skills
C1 certificate in German, B2 certificate in French, B1 certificate in English
The required language skills can be demonstrated by a formal test, a diploma required for the enrolment at the University of Luxembourg (cf. Abitur / Baccalauréat) and / or a personal interview with the study programme director. -
Documents
In addition to the documents required for the enrolment at the University of Luxembourg, students need to submit the following documents:
– a CV
– a letter of motivation
These documents should clearly address the following points:
– previous academic background in line with the Master in Secondary Education and the chosen disciplinary track
– expectations of the study programme
– personal (professional, academic…) objectives
– the reason for choosing this particular study programme.

Procedure
Selection is based on the application documents. Admission is limited to 35 students for each track.
A personal interview with the respective study programme directors may be requested.
