Required Degree
Candidates for admission to the Master of Data Science are required to hold a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, with at least 180 ECTS in either mathematics, physics, engineering, or economics, or including sufficient mathematics training.
In the selection process, emphasis is placed on the number of courses in mathematics taken during the Bachelor’s degree, and the grades obtained. Good basic knowledge of analysis and linear algebra is required to be able to follow MADS courses. -

If the Bachelor’s was taught through English, a document from the previous University/Institution attesting completion of the programme is needed. -
Documents
A detailed CV that outlines the candidate’s academic background, including the universities, schools, or institutes from which they earned their Bachelor’s (and Master’s, if applicable) degrees, along with the corresponding years of graduation. It should also include any relevant professional experience, if applicable.
— Comprehensive grade transcripts that provide detailed information on the number of courses taken, with a particular focus on mathematics, along with the corresponding grades obtained in each course.
— A cover letter that outlines the candidate’s expectations and how they align with the training offered.

Procedure
The applications will be examined by a jury once they meet the eligibility requirements of the University of Luxembourg.

Decisive elements
Only candidates whose academic level has been deemed sufficient will be admitted to the Master of Data Science. The selection process places strong emphasis on the number of mathematics courses taken during the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, as well as the corresponding grades obtained. A strong proficiency in linear algebra and analysis is necessary to be able to follow the courses of the programme. Selection of candidates who have demonstrated strong aptitude in mathematics will be accelerated.
