To apply for a programme at the University of Luxembourg, candidates must comply with the general eligibility criteria for the chosen programme type and be selected by the study programme based on the quality of their application.

Required Degree
To be eligible for the programme, students must meet the following requirements:
Hold a Luxembourgish high school diploma or a recognized foreign diploma equivalent to the Luxembourgish diploma.
Hold a bachelor’s degree from the University of Luxembourg or a bachelor’s degree or academic title registered in registre des titres de formation, section enseignement supérieur (180 ECTS credits) in one of the following fields:
- Pedagogy, social sciences, or psychology.
- Teaching field at école fondamentale.

Documents
In addition to the documents required for the enrolment at the University of Luxembourg, students need to submit:
- an online questionnaire about the applicant’s motivation to become a teacher
- a copy of the Bachelor degree
- a copy of the transcript of records
To be admitted to the programme, applicants need to pass the entry exam, which takes place every year at the beginning of July.

Procedure
- Successfully pass and achieve a favorable ranking in the admission examination.
- Students need to submit an online questionnaire about their motivation to become a teacher.
The written entry exam consists of 7 parts:
- Mathematical knowledge
- Scientific knowledge
- Reading comprehension and language proficiency test in French
- Reading comprehension and language proficiency test in German
- Reading comprehension test in Luxembourgish
- Reading comprehension test in English
A seventh part of the exam (non-cognitive test) gathers general information about the candidate and his/her experience.
