Learning Agreement
The learning agreement is an official document and is used to record your provisional course choice at your host university. It must first be approved by the University of Luxembourg (your home study programme) and then by your host university. Once you arrive at your host university, you will be able to modify your course choice based on availability and schedules. A fully signed copy with the final course choice is necessary by the end of your mobility to validate the successfully completed courses.
The Erasmus+ universities are currently transitioning to the paperless version of the learning agreement, the “online learning agreement (OLA)”. However, not all European universities are using this platform yet. Unfortunately, for the time being, we don’t have the information for all Erasmus+ partners if they accept the OLA or not.
The learning agreement for universities within the Global Exchange Programme cannot be completed via OLA.
When you receive your instructional email from the central outgoing office (BRIO), it will include the proper template in attachment as a word document for the Global Exchange Programme or the instructions on how to complete the OLA for Erasmus+ partners.
Find instructions on completing and submitting as well as modifying the learning agreement:

Recognition of credits obtained abroad
For your semester spent abroad, your host university will issue a transcript of records (TOR) to get recognition of ECTS obtained abroad. The courses on the transcript must correspond to your final and approved learning agreement.
It is your responsibility to obtain the transcript from your host university. Please ask them to send a copy to stephanie.anderson@uni.lu. We cannot accept transcripts received directly from students unless they are protected (cannot be altered) or they are the original paper version presented to us.

Getting exempt from mobility
Bachelor’s students whose semester abroad is mandatory can be exempt from this obligation under certain criteria.
If you think that any of these criteria apply to your case, please contact stephanie.anderson@uni.lu by email and request the exemption from mobility. We will then evaluate your request and, if applicable, send you a confirmation email that your request was granted.
