The Master in Secondary Education has been designed for students who hold a Bachelor degree in French Studies (langue et littérature françaises) wish to qualify as secondary school teachers.

The Master in Secondary Education trains high qualified teachers wishing to work in Luxembourg secondary education system. The programme puts a special focus on educational issues specific to Luxembourg such as multilingualism, multiculturality and integration. Students are equipped with the pedagogical and dialectical tools and methods required for teaching in classroom settings.

A tailor-made teacher training programme for Luxembourg’s school system

The programme has been designed to respond to the educational demands of the Luxembourgish school system. Students acquire the necessary skills to understand and face the challenges of teaching and learning in a multicultural and multilingual school system.

Acquisition of sound theoretical, practical and pedagogical knowledge

Students must complete two three-week teaching practices. They get privileged access to secondary schools in Luxembourg to explore their future career path. Preparatory and follow-up workshops guarantee that students are fully prepared to handle classroom teaching.
