Career opportunities

Graduates of this programme are well positioned to pursue, in addition to employment as an independent litigation lawyer with an emphasis on EU law, employment in the European Parliament’s Legal Services, the CJEU, the EFTA Court, and national courts, as well as European and national administrations. The programme provides a springboard for further academic studies at PhD-level.

Providing students with thorough understanding of how to identify and correctly approach and address complex questions of EU Law in real life situations

Learning outcomes

– In-depth study of EU institutional law with a focus on legislative processes and democratic control;
– Deepened understanding of EU law through litigation processes;
– In-depth study of legal remedies before the CJEU and procedural rules;
– Analysis of the role of national judges in the implementation of EU law and their relationship with the CJEU, and the guarantee of effective judicial protection.
