From 7 – 11 October, the University of Luxembourg organises the Mental Health Week for students and staff, a series of events and workshops dedicated to promoting mental health and wellbeing.
The World Mental Health Day on 10 October aims to raise awareness of mental health issues and to mobilise efforts in support of mental health. Access to adequate information is a first step to safeguarding one’s mental health, as are a supportive environment, tools to balance your mental health and access to professional help. In addition, persons who are able to detect symptoms of mental health issues with other people can share their insights or help them in seeking help.
The activities of the Mental Health Week are designed to support and empower the Uni.lu community, and where they can meet the dedicated University Mental Health & Wellbeing team.
The events include among others mindfulness and yoga seminars, an art therapy workshop, workshops on addressing eating disorders or on preventing burnout, and a #DeskBreak challenge. Participants will gather valuable tools and techniques for maintaining a healthy, safe and balanced lifestyle.
The UniTalks “Empowerment & Balance: A fresh approach to preventing burnout“, taking place on 10 October online at 12.30, is open to the public!
The Mental Health Week is part of the national mobilisation „Semaines de la santé mentale“ in Luxemburg.
