More than 3,000 students and young professionals explored opportunities for a future career at the Unicareers.lu job fair on 6 November, an event organised by the University of Luxembourg. 160 companies from Luxembourg’s multilingual and international business landscape introduced themselves to job seekers. The event was hosted online.

Unicareers.lu offers job seekers the opportunity to meet some of Luxembourg’s key employers. Participating companies are banks and credit institutions, insurance companies, law firms, auditors, industry and public institutions and companies from the IT and research sector.

Participants can speak directly with the company of their choice – this year in virtual spaces – and discuss graduate positions and requirements. They can also compare job offers and get a head start on building a professional network.

In a panel debate, host Catherine Léglu (Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the University of Luxembourg) and guests Isabelle Schlesser (Director, National Employment Agency ADEM), Delphine Berlemont, (Human Resources Director, ING Luxembourg), Dario Zambotti, (Director Audit & Assurance, Deloitte Luxembourg) and Vidiam Moreau (Vice-President of the student association CEST) discussed how the pandemic has changed working conditions. See the video for the full panel discussion.

Unicareers.lu provides an overview of the job market and valuable professional advice for a successful career start. The job fair is an important partner for students, young professionals and companies in Luxembourg. Unicareers.lu facilitates more than 1,000 recruitments (either internships or contracts) each year.
