Your situation
- You want to apply for a Bachelor’s programme
- You are an EU/EEA/Swiss citizen or a non-EU citizen with a valid Luxembourg residence permit
- You have one of the following:
- a secondary school leaving certificate issued in the EU/EEA/Swiss
- an International Baccalaureate diploma
- an IGCSE A and AS-levels
- a secondary school leaving certificate issued by a school in Luxembourg that does not follow the official Luxembourg curriculum (e.g. French Diploma, US Diploma, etc.)
Your criteria
-
Diploma
If you have not yet received your secondary school leaving certificate by the application period of your chosen study programme, you can still submit your application without a diploma within the application period.
If you apply without submitting a copy of your diploma, you will be required to provide your diploma and final transcript of grades if a conditional acceptance letter is issued. Your enrolment cannot be finalized until all required documents have been submitted and all other admission requirements are met. -
Recognition of Secondary School Leaving Certificates (Diploma Equivalence)
The recognition (equivalence) of the secondary school leaving certificate by the Luxembourg Ministry of Education is mandatory for candidates in this category.
If you have not yet received your equivalence by the application period of your chosen study programme, you can still submit your application without the equivalence within the application period.
If you apply without submitting a copy of your equivalence, you will be required to provide it if a conditional acceptance letter is issued. Your enrolment cannot be finalized until all required documents have been submitted and all other admission requirements are met.
-
Proof of Language Skills
All applicants must demonstrate the required level of competence in all teaching languages of their chosen programme. Language requirements for each programme, based on the CEFR, are listed on the dedicated programme web page. If multiple languages are listed, this indicates that the programme is multilingual, and applicants must provide proof of competence in all listed languages, unless stated otherwise.
Applicants who do not meet the required language level for all teaching languages before the application deadline are not eligible for admission in that application cycle.

Deadline

If Your Application Is Accepted
If your application is accepted by the selection committee, you will receive:
- a final admission letter if your file is complete
- a conditional admission letter if your file is incomplete (e.g. missing diploma or certificate of achievement, final transcript of grades, equivalence, proof of health insurance, etc.). You will need to upload the missing documents via the admission portal before November 15 of your first semester of studies. Once all documents are received, you will be issued the final admission letter.
-
If You Cannot Complete Your Enrolment
Please note that incomplete enrolments cannot be deferred to future academic years. If you cannot finalize your enrolment, you will need to restart the admission process with a new student ID number and upload all required documents again. Your new application will be subject to the rules in force at that time, including application fees and eligibility criteria.
Acceptance of an application for one academic year does not guarantee acceptance in future years.
