“What are the trees up to?”
In collaboration with the “Institut de formation de l’Éducation nationale” (IFEN), the Scienteens Lab organises a physics & sustainability workshop for teachers and teachers-in-training on Tuesday, 19 May, from 9:00 to 12:00. This workshop focuses on how research is done in a forest.
How can we study an ecosystem and understand how it works? How do we test our ideas? In this workshop, participants wander into the woods and learn more about the scientific method. They test their hypotheses about the functions and inner workings of this ecosystem and discover how to conduct research in a natural environment.
In addition to a presentation by Dr Louis Krieger from the Scienteens Lab, participants also get to try out the material we use to teach this subject to high school students.
