“The process from Academic research to hands-on workshops”
In collaboration with the “Institut de formation de l’Éducation nationale” (IFEN), the Scienteens Lab organises a physics & sustainability workshop for teachers and teachers-in-training on Tuesday, 28 April, from 14:30 to 16:30. This workshop focuses on how to render complex research understandable and accessible.
The essence of the Scienteens Lab is to start with a complex topic from a Luxembourgish research institute and end up making them accessible to high school students. It is done through an “unorthodox” approach in our hands-on activities. In this workshop, the participants do several hands-on activities, after which, they discover how the Scienteens Lab’s team created them and learn more about the research they are based on.
In addition to a presentation by Dr Louis Krieger from the Scienteens Lab, participants also get to try out the material we use to teach different workshops to high school students.
