To apply for a programme at the University of Luxembourg, candidates must comply with the general eligibility criteria for the chosen programme type and be selected by the study programme based on the quality of their application.

Specific information for this programme

  • Required Degree

    Candidates for admission to the Master in Technopreneurship are required to hold a :

    – Bachelor degree in ICT, Business, or equivalent, and at least 3 years’ experience after the bachelor degree in any of the following domains: ICT, Standardisation, and Technopreneurship; the admission file should then proceed through validation of prior learning and experience (“validation des acquis”) to accrue the recognised components to the equivalent of “level of master – 240 ECTS” or

    – Master degree (at least level of master 1 – 240 ECTS). This level should be obtained by either having a level corresponding to an academically-recognise master M1 level.

    If your university diploma is not recognised under the Bologna Framework, you will also need to submit a recognition certificate issued by the Ministry of Research and Higher Education in Luxembourg.

  • Language Skills

    English: B2

    If applicants meet the entry requirements, they will be invited to an interview. Their level of English will be assessed during the interview.

  • Requirements for Non-EU candidates

    Non-EU applicants are required to be current residents of Luxembourg and hold a valid Luxembourgish residence permit to qualify


  • Admissions process

    Step 1 – Candidates are requested to submit a preselection application to mtech@uni.lu – including a covering letter, CV and, if possible, a reference letter from the employer.

    Step 2 – If applicants meet the entry requirements, they will be invited to an interview. Their level of English will be assessed during the interview.

    Step 3 – Following approval by the course directors, applicants will then be required to submit their full application via the university portal.

  • Deadlines

     Applicants can submit their documents to mtech@uni.lu from 1st February to 30th June 2026.

  • Study Programme

    Our professional Master is a part-time training.

    Non-EU applicants are required to be current residents of Luxembourg and hold a valid Luxembourgish residence permit to qualify.

  • Duration

    The MTECH is part-time and is taught over two years.

    The 2026/27 programme starts in September 2026. Please note that there is a new intake every two years.

  • Timetable

    The final timetable will be shared with students at the start of the semester.

    Classes take place every two weeks:

    • Fridays: Half-day at the Chambre des salariés du Luxembourg starting from 13:30
    • Saturdays: Full day in Belval starting from 9:00

  • Tuition fees

    The total fee for the Master is 6400€ (1600€/semester), including registration at the University of Luxembourg.

    • Institut luxembourgeois de la normalisation, de l’accréditation, de la sécurité et qualité des produits et services (ILNAS): ILNAS is a public administration under the authority of the Minister of the Economy.     • Chambre des Salariés (CSL): The Chamber of employees (Chambre des salariés, CSL), which was constituted as a result of the introduction of the unique status has more than 600 000 adherents. It plays a major role in the consultation process regarding national legislative procedures. Its opinion is required on all bills in relation with its adherents before the final vote in the Parliament.
