Part-time studies
What does part-time study mean?
Part-time study allows students more time to complete their degree. In this case, the standard duration of studies is 6 years instead of 3 years.
Are there any special scheduling arrangements?
No. Classes are scheduled during the day, from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. The study program does not include evening courses or distance learning. Students who are employed must therefore demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in their personal organization in order to combine university courses with professional commitments.
Is it possible to shorten the duration of studies by recognizing professional experience?
Yes. Applicants who have been employed full-time for at least three years in a field relevant to the Bachelor in Social and Educational Sciences may be granted exemptions from certain courses. The application for recognition of prior learning must be submitted at the time of filing the application dossier. After their file has been reviewed, students may be exempted from courses for which relevant professional experience can be demonstrated. However, automatic admission into the second or third year of study is not foreseen for these students.
