During the Alices Dag – the University’s annual forum for stakeholders in education and social intervention – the University and the Entente des Offices sociaux signed an agreement confirming their commitment to combine research and practice in the service of social welfare in Luxembourg.
The University welcomed more than 250 professionals from the social sector in Luxembourg to the 3rd edition of Alices Dag. Students, researchers and professionals could network and exchange at over 60 stands run by Luxembourgish social sector organisations.
Alices Dag strengthens trust and cooperation between the University and social sector stakeholders. This relationship is essential to enable both sides to best meet the needs of Luxembourg society.
“Dialogue is fundamental. Research and education in the social sciences cannot take place in a laboratory. They must be carried out together with you, who know the practice and encounter the challenges everyday. We are committed to the well-being of society and are ideally placed to move forward together,” said Prof. Marie-Hélène Jobin, Vice-Rector for Partnerships and International Relations, in her address to professionals in the sector.
