What do we offer our students?

Historical understanding of contemporary European issues

In a highly transformative and challenging age, students learn how to analyse European history and culture(s) beyond national frameworks, how to develop a long-term perspective across periods, how to explore and present historical findings using digital technologies.

A focus on digital history

The programme puts special emphasis on Digital Humanities and Public History. Students are invited to use digital sources, tools and methodologies, and may develop their own ways of telling (hi)stories, both for academic and non-academic audiences.

Innovative teaching and learning methods

The programme is multilingual and designed for a maximum of 25 students, allowing for individual tutorials and coaching. It encourages project-based learning. The research seminar or the winter school allow students to get in touch with the latest research, while developing their own research approach.
