Why study with us?

The Bachelor en Sciences Sociales et Sciences Educatives studies how social issues affect individuals and groups. The programme addresses a broad range of topics including poverty, migration, inter-cultural diversity, social exclusion and inequalities.

Students learn to design and carry out prevention, counseling and educational projects and programmes addressing those issues.

What do we offer our students?

Main features of the study programme:
  • strong link between theory and practice
  • a 6- and 14-week internship during semester 3 and semester 6
  • different learning and teaching forms: lectures, seminars, project based workshops, individual and collective tutorials
A combination of mandatory, optional and specialised courses

The programme offers a solid theoretical foundation in the field of social work. Students can choose a specialisation according to their interests (disability and non-discrimination, migration, inter-culturality and diversity…).

Mobility

Mobility at the University of Luxembourg is mandatory for students enrolled in a bachelor’s program and takes place during the 4th semester in BSSE.

Going on a mobility semester is an opportunity to enhance your skills, discover new teaching approaches, and broaden your cultural horizons.
