From Science to Impact

Les Amis cordially invite you to their upcoming lecture by Dr Christophe Haunold, entitled ‘From Science to Impact – The Strategic Role of University Research in the Development of Luxembourg and Beyond’.

The speaker

Christophe Haunold is head of the Office for Partnerships, Knowledge and Technology Transfer at the University of Luxembourg, established in 2020. A former president of the European ASTP network (2022–2024), he has over thirty years’ experience in the commercialisation of public research and industrial relations, as well as having carried out consultancy assignments for the European Commission and the World Bank. An engineer and holder of a PhD in Process Engineering (INP Toulouse), he also headed a university department for industrial and commercial activities from 2004 to 2020. The presentation will highlight the evolving role of universities and present concrete examples of the impact of academic research in Luxembourg, which remains largely unknown to the general public.

The lecture will begin at 7.00 pm. Prior to this, at 6.00 pm, the Amis will hold their General Meeting, to which you are also cordially invited, should you wish to attend. We would, however, like to draw your attention to the fact that only members of the Amis of the University of Luxembourg are entitled to vote.
