Our center offers a range of positions, from assistant jobs to thesis supervision, designed to complement your studies and enhance your research skills.
Many thanks for your interest in doing your thesis project with the FINATRAX Research Group at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT), University of Luxembourg. Please be aware that the University’s Interdisciplinary Centres focus on knowledge transfer to industry through research projects. Teaching at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels is not our primary mission. Thus, we do not offer theses on topics proposed by students.
However, if capacity allows, we’re open to supervising topics closely linked to our ongoing research projects. We believe these offer highly relevant and interesting perspectives.
To apply for a thesis linked to one of our projects, please follow this process:
- Check with your the administrator/director of your study programme, if doing a thesis at SnT is eligible for your programme.
- Check our project activities and choose a project that interests you.
- Contact by e-mail the listed “researchers” to ask if a thesis was possible. Copy (!) either Gilbert Fridgen or Martin Weibelzahl, depending on the topic area.
- In your e-mail, please indicate in 100-150 words:
- Your motivation to contribute to the project
- Your qualifications / prior experiences
- We will then come back to you to enter discussions and decide.

Please be aware that the University’s Interdisciplinary Centres focus on knowledge transfer to industry through research projects. Teaching at Bachelors’ and Masters’ levels is not our primary mission. Thus, we do not offer BSPs for topics that are proposed by students.
However, we’re happy to supervise BSPs linked to our ongoing research projects. We believe that these offer highly relevant and interesting topics.
To apply for a BSP linked to one of our projects, please follow this process:
- Check our project activities and choose a project that interests you.
- Contact by e-mail the listed “researchers” to ask if a BSP is possible. Only copy (!) Gilbert Fridgen.
- In your e-mail, please indicate in 100-150 words:
