    My research has focused in the past on the study of integrins, which are major cell adhesion molecules. Here I have investigated the structure/function relationship of beta3 integrins with regard to thrombosis/haemostasis. I have then switched to studying the actin cytoskeleton and actin-binding proteins, in particular the actin-bundling protein L-plastin. More precisely, signaling pathways leading to L-plastin Ser5 phosphorylation were determined and the role of this phosphorylation event in cell invasion and migration was assessed. Since 2021, my research is entirely focused on Ras GTPases and the development of drugs targeting indirectly oncogenic K-Ras. I have set up the chick chorioallantoic membrane assay (CAM assay) in our lab in order to test drug effects on tumors in an in vivo system.
