Professor Bernard has taught for 18 years at various Canadian universities, including 10 years as a professor at the University of Montreal. To date, her research has been funded by various Canadian granting agencies, such as the Robert-Sauvé Institute in Occupational Health and Safety of Quebec, the Quebec Nursing Intervention Research Network, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, as either the principal researcher or co-principal researcher in the fields of pandemic and biological risk management, occupational health and safety, and the development of nurses’ professional competencies. She joined the University of Luxembourg in October 2022.
