Prof. del Sol is an active member of the German Stem Cell Network and the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR), and has been appointed to organise bioinformatics sessions at international stem cell conferences including the annual ISSCR meeting. Both of his labs in Luxembourg and Spain have been consistently funded by national and international research grants, some of which have been together with top scientists in the field of stem cell research and disease modelling.
Member of the Program Organizing Committee for the “2020 International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) annual meeting”, Virtual. Prof del Sol was selected to be a member of the organising committee; this was the first ISSCR meeting with a dedicated session on “Machine learning and computational approaches”. This achievement representshis involvement in the stem cell community, in addition to highlighting the need for computational systems biology in the field.
