About the Fondation Jacqueline NOEL
The Fondation Jacqueline NOEL was created in tribute to Jacqueline Noel, a citizen of the world and fervent European. Jacqueline Noel shared the belief of Nelson Mandela, a figure she had the chance to meet during her career, that “education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Born during the German occupation, Jacqueline Noel grew up to be a dedicated student, earning a Doctorate in Economic Sciences from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. She began her career as a researcher at the World Bank and later at the European Investment Bank.
The foundation was created in her memory by her dear friend in the hopes of perpetuating Jacqueline Noel’s values and ideals, namely the belief that hard work and dedication can lead to fulfilment in one’s life while creating positive change for the benefit of all.
