Hack the web to create April Fools’ pranks
The Scienteens Lab organises regular online sessions to showcase the ressources available on “Test IT“. This website was created to help teenagers (12-19 years old) explore the digital world on their own and develop their computer science skills. During each online session, the participants can:
- Get guidance in completing one of our tutorials and delve deeper into the subject with the help of our team.
- Connect with an expert who works, studies or uses computer science in their daily life.
- Meet other teenagers who are exploring computer science.
Each session is conducted in English, French, German or Luxembourgish.
On 25 March, the Test IT online session will be dedicated to web hacking.
You will learn how easily you can create fake news by modifying any title or text on the web. You will also learn why these tools have been created. By the end of the session, you will have a better understanding of how easy it is to manipulate information but you will also have to make sure to use this new power wisely!
