Description Institution
The Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust conducts research in Information and Communication Technology. We develop innovative solutions together with industry and public partners.
SnT has a two-fold approach focusing on both collaborative demand-driven research and high-risk, long-term research projects. The Centre brings 290 staff, from some 40 nationalities, together in Luxembourg.

About the internship
Our communications effort are based around content, or stories as we like to call them. What are the key ingredients to a good story? And how can we turn complex research topics into interesting bits of content? We use text, video, and photos to talk to our audience. If you’ve always been told you’re a great writer or storyteller, this internship is for you!
Your activities:
- identify a story (profile, event, etc.) in accordance with our editorial calendar
- choose the right type of content
- structure, write, optionally record, and edit your story (text or video)
- promote your story on social media
What you will learn:
- how to create powerful stories (storytelling)
- how to work with different types of content (video/writing skills)
- how to edit the right way (efficiency)
- how to synthesize your story into bite-sized messages (promotional skills)

Entry requirements
- Working as a doctoral candidate in Luxembourg
- Language: Fluency in English is a must (C2). German and/or French are helpful.
- Mindset: curious, detail-oriented, self-starter
- Experience: please send in writing excerpts or video clips at time of application

- 90 hours
- 1-2 days per week
- Remote internship possible

About the internship
Research projects or events need visibility, that’s why we strive to create compelling visuals and webpages. In this internship, you’ll put your creativity and/or technology skills to use: from creating infographics to developing attractive WordPress sites. If you’ve always been told you’re great at WordPress or designing things, this internship is for you!
Your activities in Web Dev:
- Work closely with researchers and communications team to collect the needs for a website
- Develop a sitemap and choose a design
- Help client develop or improve their content (project description, team member profiles, etc.)
- a story (profile, event, etc.) in accordance with our editorial calendar
Your activities in Graphic Design:
- Analyse and synthesise a research story or project
- Create infographics or other designs that make research project more tangible and fun to discover
- Contribute ideas and designs to social media calendar and web content
What you will learn:
- How to transform words and concepts into images
- How to create user-friendly website for research projects and events
- How to stick to timelines

- Working as a doctoral candidate in Luxembourg
- Language: Fluency in English is a must (C2). German and/or French are helpful.

- Experience: WordPress and/or Graphic design tools
