Teaching Physics: Hands-On vs. VR
(English, 45 minutes – 2 hours)
Dive into the world of physics through two distinct approaches: explore traditional hands-on experiments as well as cutting-edge Virtual Reality (VR). In this activity, you’ll compare these two approaches while exploring the working principles of an electric motor. Experience the strengths and limitations of each method and discover how both offer unique insights into the fundamentals of the universe.
ADHD – Why so distracted?
(English or German, 45 minutes)
Put yourself in the shoes of people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) to better understand their daily challenges. The workshop starts with a short interactive introduction to the topic (What is ADHD? How does it manifest? What is happening inside the brain?) including three questions designed to stimulate discussions. Afterwards two tests will simulate two conditions common for individuals affected by ADHD: overstimulation and hyperfocus.
THIS WORKSHOP IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR BOOKING ANYMORE. But you can download the workshop guidelines and carry out the workshop yourself.
