Participating in DIGITRACK
Participants will complete a range of assessments, including:
- Mobility Analysis: Gait data measured by an inertial sensor system.
- Strength Testing: Grip force assessed with a hand-held JAMAR hydraulic dynamometer.
- Cognitive and Emotional Health Evaluations: Tests like the Montreal Cognitive Assessment and Geriatric Depression Scale.
- Physical Function Assessments: Using tools such as the Performance-Oriented Mobility Assessment and Functional Independence Measure.
- Global Health Reporting: Self-assessments using the 10-item PROMIS Global Health tool.
- Clinician Evaluations: Professional assessments of overall health.
For longitudinal participants, follow-up evaluations will monitor changes in health and assess the effectiveness of the composite monitoring score over time.
Study Phases of DIGITRACK
Participation involves two phases, each designed to ensure comprehensive data collection and monitoring:
Phase 1: Baseline Assessment
Conducted at ZithaSenior S.A. facilities, this phase includes:
- Signing the informed consent form.
- Completing clinical evaluations, including mobility, strength, and health perception assessments.
- Recording sensor-based data using the inertial sensor system.
Phase 2: Longitudinal Monitoring (for selected participants)
This phase lasts up to one year and includes:
- Follow-up clinical visits during routine care appointments.
- Repeating assessments from the baseline phase to track changes over time.
- Analysing the sensitivity of the composite monitoring score to health changes.
