Required Degree
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or Economics/Finance. Applicants must demonstrate an adequate scientific background in the relevant mathematical topics, in particular in probability and mathematical statistics. Refresher courses, including a one-week bootcamp in Economics and a one-week bootcamp in Mathematics, will be offered at the beginning of the first year to fill any gaps in mathematical education. These courses will be offered together with the master programme in Data Science to effectively use the teaching capacities.

If the Bachelor’s was taught through English, a document from the previous University/Institution attesting completion of the programme is needed. -

Prepare a detailed CV. To increase your chances of being selected, it is important to follow the instructions below when writing your CV:
– clearly indicate the university (or universities) from which you graduated
– clearly indicate the title of your degree
– clearly indicate the rank/division/distinction with which you obtained your degree(s)
– If you are not a graduate in mathematics, list the mathematics courses you took during your studies and the grades you obtained.
For each of these courses, clearly indicate the grades obtained and recall the grading system.

The applications will be examined by a jury once they meet the eligibility requirements of the University of Luxembourg.

Only candidates whose academic level has been deemed sufficient will be admitted to the Master in Actuarial Sciences. The selection process places strong emphasis on the number of mathematics courses taken during the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, as well as the corresponding grades obtained.
