Required Degree
– Bachelor degree in physics or related field
– Validated course in quantum mechanics and statistical physics
– Interest in physics and up-to-date research
– Curiosity about how things work and how the world functions
– Commitment. -
Language Skills
Depending on the two universities selected:
– English B2 and French B2

– Cover letter (1 page maximum)
– CV (3 pages maximum)
– Bachelor’s degree, translated and legalised if not in English or in an official language of Luxembourg
– Transcript for your bachelor’s degree, also translated and legalised if necessary
– Certificate for a B2 level in English. Evidence and certificates of competence can be obtained from https://wwwen.uni.lu/students/information_by_topic/required_language_skills. This requirement can be waived if you can demonstrate a B2 level by other means: native speaker, higher education completed in English etc.
– If you hold a degree from a non-EU university: results of your GRE physics exam (recommended)
– Additional document supporting your application (certificate of achievement for a relevant complementary course, extracurricular qualification etc.)

Selection is based on the candidate’s track record and other documents provided.
A maximum of 30 students is selected each year. -
