Presentation

Students develop competencies in therapeutic communication, clinical reasoning, and evidence-based psychiatric and mental health nursing through theoretical courses, clinical education, tutorials, and interprofessional simulation activities.  

Learning experiences take place in both hospital and community mental health settings, allowing students to understand the organisation of psychiatric care and the role of the specialised nurse within mental health care networks.  

The programme is delivered by the Department of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences in collaboration with professionals from psychiatric and mental health services.
