About
The CENSOR project, initiated by Prof. Leyer from the Department of Engineering and funded by the European Regional Development Fund, aims to establish a Competence Centre for Digitization and Optimization of Energy, Resources and Processes. Running from 2024 to 2028, CENSOR will drive innovation in energy and resource efficiency by developing digital twins, AI-enhanced tools, and advanced thermodynamic models. It will support Luxembourg’s transition to a CO₂-neutral economy by collaborating with Luxembourg’s industry leaders. The centre will also train students and professionals in digital and sustainable technologies, contribute to national climate goals, and promote public awareness through outreach and education, making it a key player in Luxembourg’s green and digital transformation.
