This month, Nicole Wagner shares her story as a Product and Engineering Manager at McKinsey & Company. Her journey in computer science began at the University of Luxembourg, where she earned a Bachelor in Computer Science in 2016.

Studying computer science at Uni.lu enabled Nicole to learn the fundamentals of programming and understand the logic behind it all—skills she applies every day in her job. The mindset she developed during her studies also helped her become more analytical and better understand the technical aspects of building digital products.

Today, Nicole develops new products across several industries and countries. She collaborates with people from diverse backgrounds and skill sets to successfully launch innovative solutions.

What excites her most about the field is its constant evolution. “The tech field is always changing, which means it’s never boring,” she says.

Nicole encourages young women to consider a career in tech, as it will give them the opportunity to shape the way the world operates.

If you enjoy new challenges, want to be part of shaping the way our world operates, then computer science is the right path for you!”
