Laboratory Facilities
The experimental part of our research is being performed in the “halles d’essais ingenieurs” with its very well-equipped laboratories and workshop.

TSU
The Technical Support Unit operates under the umbrella of the Faculty of Science, Technology, and Medicine (FSTM), offering vital assistance to researchers within the Department of Engineering (DOE) and the Department of Computer Science (DCS).
Structural Engineering Laboratory
The strong floor measures 15×10 meters and is designed with a separate foundation from the building. It is prestressed in both directions, with each hole capable of withstanding 1 MN of force.
- Vertical frame (PP4000): Up to 4 MN (2Hz)
- Vertical Frame (C1000): Up to 1 MN (2Hz)
- Horizontal frame (HP4000): Up to 4 MN (2Hz)
- Universal Test Machine (UP500): Static and dynamic tests; 10, 50, and 100 kN (35Hz)

Concrete Laboratory
The concrete laboratory with an isolated area provides a certified environment for preparation, storage and testing of the samples. Three
connected rooms equipped with the high precision calibrated tools, moulds, and machines to study the characteristics of concrete, mortar, or
other related material.
- Mixing room: Mixers, wet grinder, sieve shaker, …
- Preparation room: Precise mixers, vibrating tables, moulds, flow table, …
- Testing room: Compression test machine: 4 MN, Bending test machine: 300 kN Combined compression/bending testing machine: 300kN/15kN

Climate Chamber
The Climate Chambers offer temperature ranges from -20°C to +80°C and adjustable relative humidity levels within the graph’s range. Available in small and large sizes, they maintain precise temperature control within ±0.5°C and relative humidity within ±3%.
- Test room volume: 18 m3 (2000x4000x2250 mm)
- Test room volume: 11 m3 (1250x4000x2250 mm)
- Test room volume: 600 dm3 (770x1020x745 mm)
