Research Group Building Energy and Building Services Engineering

Sustainable buildings are a key element in energy transition

Buildings consume 40% of global energy. People spend more than 90% of their time indoor. Thus the importance to achieve sustainable and healthy buildings.

Data-driven solutions for energy efficient buildings

Our group conduct the following research activities:
– Energy efficiency evaluation of buildings by measurement campaigns and numerical simulation
– Building services concepts for innovative architectural concepts
– Demand side management of heat pumps for improving flexibility regarding the electrical grid and energy market
– Data-driven fault detection and diagnosis for technical building installations
