Specific information for this programme

  • Required Degree

    Students must either be able to present proof of having completed a bachelor’s degree with at least 180 credit points in the field of physiology, molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, pharmacy or an equivalent degree from the University of Luxembourg or abroad. All partner universities must agree that the degree qualifies the student to be admitted into the Master’s programme.

  • Language Skills

    Students must provide proof that their English is at a B2 level according to the Common European Framework for Languages. The forms of proof listed below will be accepted:
    – Proof that the university entrance qualification was acquired at an English-speaking institution
    – A degree that was completed in an English-language degree programme
    – First Certificate in English (University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations) or a higher level (Advanced (CAE) or Proficiency (CPE))
    – IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with at least 5.5 points
    – TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), 213 (computer-based test, CBT), 79 (internet-based test, IBT), 550 (paper-based test, PBT)
    – Telc English B2

  • Selection process

    The application for the degree programme “International Master of Science in Biomedicine” is carried out via the University of Strasbourg. Candidates must submit their applications and the required documents in accordance with the deadlines set by the University of Strasbourg.

    Even if the admission requirements have been fulfilled, students will only be admitted to the Master’s programme after a successfully completed admission procedure. When assessing the application documents during the selection process, the following criteria will be taken into consideration:

    • The admission requirements have been met in accordance with paragraph 1
    • Students’ previous scientific education and grades
    • Motivation for the degree programme
    • Students have experience in an international context
    • Students have experience in the field of research
