About

With a rapidly increasing social diversity, there is currently a new innovative teaching plan on the horizon which will emphasize sustainability and digital competencies (Plan d’Études 2026), and teachers will face the challenge of implementing a new focus on sustainability education. To respond to the need for teacher support that emerges from a nation-wide education reform, Eis Geschichten, Eis Zukunft! Nohaltegkeet am Fondamental will promote sustainability science to teachers, through supporting them in co-design and implementation of sustainability education projects in their classrooms and sharing and showcasing their successes with their students and communities through digital stories to be disseminated nationally as inspirations for the target audience of primary teachers and teacher education students, created by teachers, for teachers. Eis Zukunft! will enable collaborating with teachers to design and implement dissemination pathways to sustainability education in Luxembourg. Participating teachers will showcase how they explored sustainability-related science themes and enacted teaching and learning sequences with their primary students by creating digital Eis Zukunft! Inspirations that will promote sustainability science, give a voice to teachers as multipliers, and inspire future generations of teachers and children in considering, what are our stories to tell? and what futures do we want to create?
