Three institutes working in close collaboration with national and international partners and research institutions

The Department of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences is constituted by three Institutes.

Researchers in the institute for Cognitive Science & Assessment aim at measuring and understanding cognitive processes across the lifespan, focusing on psychometrics, cognitive computational modelling, human-computer interaction and education. In the institute of Health & Behaviour, researchers investigate links between behaviour and health, the effects of economic, social, and genetic factors on health-related behaviour and cognition, and interventions to improve health through modifying behaviour. In the institute for Lifespan Development, Family, & Culture, we focus on development across the entire life span, as well as culture, the family, and school as important developmental contexts.

We are responsible for three study programmes in psychology (Bachelor in Psychology, Master of Science in Psychology: Psychological Intervention, Master in Psychotherapy) and gerontology (Master) that profit from our strong research basis.
