End-of-year holidays – What is open, what is closed

The University wishes all staff and students wonderful winter holidays and a prosperous, healthy and bright new year 2022!

During the period between 20 December and 9 January, the opening times of various campus services will change.

Luxembourg Learning Centre

New opening hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 08.00 – 22.00
  • Saturday: 08.00 – 17.00
  • Sunday: 08.00 – 17.00

End-of-year holidays:

  • Monday, 31 December: 08.00 – 17.00
  • Closed on 24, 25, 26 December and 1 January

Administration

The University’s administration offices will be closed between 24 December and 2 January.

Student Services (SEVE)

The Admission and Housing Offices will be closed between 24 December and 2 January.

For all information on the support available during the holiday period, please refer to the UMatter platform.

Campus Sport and Well-being sessions will be suspended between 27 December and 9 January and will resume as of 10 January.

Career Centre

The Career Centre will be closed between 20 December and 2 January. Appointments preferably on request: careercentre@uni.lu.

Student Lounges (Belval and Kirchberg campuses)

The student lounges will close as of 18 December and will reopen after the exams period.

University restaurants

Belval Campus

  • Food House: Closed from 23 December, reopening 3 January
  • Food Café: Closed from 20 December, reopening 3 January
  • Food Zone: Closed from 20 December, reopening 3 January
  • Food Lab: Closed from 20 December, reopening 10 January

Kirchberg Campus

  • Altius: Closed from 20 December, reopening 3 January
  • Brasserie John’s: Closed from 20 December, reopening 10 January

Limpertsberg Campus

  • Um Weier: Closed from 20 December, reopening 3 January
