Communication regarding the Dean’s Office of the FDEF

On 28 April, the University of Luxembourg announced that Professor Katalin Ligeti has decided to step down from her mandate as Dean of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance. Her resignation will take effect on 31 May 2026, until which time she will continue to handle day-to-day affairs. Professor Ligeti will continue to serve within the Faculty as a Full Professor. The University of Luxembourg thanks her for her commitment and for the work accomplished in her role as Dean since 2017. The Rectorate has initiated the necessary steps to organise the next stages, which will be communicated soon. The continuity of the Faculty’s teaching and research activities is fully ensured.
