About the event
The European Research Council (ERC) is a public organisation of the European Commission whose goal is to fund excellent research around the world. Researchers from any domain and affiliation can apply to later develop their scientific advances in an EU institution or associated country if funded. The bottom-up scientific spirit of the different ERC programmes (all topics welcomed), plus the focus on the needs of the principal investigator (PI) distinguishes ERC from other funding bodies. The flexibility for implementing the scientific plan and the appealing resources allocated to the PI have enabled ERC grantees to pursue their dreams of ambitious goals in a way that is difficult to find elsewhere outside of ERC.
This talk will present the Starting, Consolidator, and Advanced programmes, with their particularities, opportunities, and details, so as to guide applicants. Also, the Synergy grants and Proof-of-Concept instruments will be discussed. The overarching goal of this presentation is to inform, encourage, guide, and answer questions from prospective applicants.
Those of you interested in the slides of this presentation or further information about ERC Calls are welcome to contact the speaker, Enrique Alba.
