14th edition of the award for the Best Doctoral Thesis
Les Amis de l’Université are pleased to invite you to the official ceremony of the Rolf Tarrach Award, taking place on Wednesday, 9 July at 18:30 at the Chambre de Commerce. The 14th edition of the award for the Best Doctoral Thesis at the University of Luxembourg goes to Dr Tara Trauthwein, a brilliant Luxembourgish mathematician and Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford.
A roundtable discussion with Rector Jens Kreisel and five former award winners will follow the presentation of the doctoral thesis.
About the Rolf Tarrach Award
Since 2012, the Rolf Tarrach Prize, organised by Les Amis de l’Université du Luxembourg and supported by the Luis y Antonio Portabella Foundation and Intesa Sanpaolo Wealth Management Luxembourg, has been honouring the best doctoral thesis at the University. This prestigious award aims to reward excellence in research and promote the international reputation of the University of Luxembourg.
The award ceremony is a significant event, often featuring thought-provoking lectures and attended by notable figures from academia and industry.
