As part of the University of Luxembourg’s commitment to fostering an inclusive campus environment, we are excited to announce the launch of a special video series to mark this year’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
International Day of Persons with Disabilities takes place on 3 December each year and was created by the United Nations to promote an understanding of disability issues and to support the dignity, rights and wellbeing of people with disabilities.
The purpose of our video series is to raise awareness about the experiences of individuals with disabilities on our campus community and to highlight the support available from the Committee of Reasonable Adjustments and the Inclusion Office, SEVE at the University.
The Disability Awareness Day video series is available on the University’s official YouTube channel. We encourage everyone in our community to watch and share these videos to help spread awareness and promote a culture of inclusion.

The University has a legal duty to try to remove or reduce the barriers students face due to a disability, physical or mental health condition and enable all students to fully participate in University life. Articles 38 and 39 of the University Law gives responsibility to the Committee for Reasonable Adjustments for students with special educational needs.
However, reducing barriers is a shared responsibility that extends beyond the Committee for Reasonable Adjustments. Let’s work together to create an environment where every student feels welcome to pursue their academic and personal goals without unnecessary obstacles.
