About

The LUQCIA project aims to establish a quantum-secure communication infrastructure in Luxembourg, leveraging Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) to protect critical cyber-physical infrastructures, including applications in FinTech, cybersecurity, and space communications. A key milestone is the development of a cross-border QKD link with Belgium, reinforcing Luxembourg’s role in European quantum networks. The project focuses on building a robust Quantum Communication Infrastructure (QCI), fostering collaborations with industry and academia, and advancing research in quantum-secure networking. LUQCIA supports the transition to quantum-resistant cybersecurity, ensuring resilient, future-proof encryption for national and cross-border communication.
