Computational biology

Building of computational models to solve challenges in molecular biology

About

Tumor cells use an intricate network of pathways to interact with each other and to sustain their growth. Research in this area includes the development of mathematical models to predict how these systems change over time and under varying conditions to ultimately find solutions for therapeutic intervention. Broad research topics include analysis of multi-omic datasets (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, etc), pathway and network analyses, drug repurposing, genome-wide epigenomics approaches, data integration & reconstruction of molecular networks and machine learning approaches.
