On Saturday 8 November 2025, you can participate in a short, fun and interactive science workshop called “The secrets of reading” at the Luxembourg Science Center. Come by anytime between 13:00 and 17:30 to learn more about how your brain processes information. Can you make sense of this weird encoded message? Discover how just one little hint can make a wor(l)d of difference!

The workshop is available for free in the context of a general admission ticket to the Luxembourg Science Center (0-15€). This workshop is offered either in English or French. It is 20 minutes long and recommended for children between 9 to 12 years of age. But of course also older participants are welcome. This workshop is offered by Claire Gigleux, a doctoral candidate at the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (FHSE). She is also one of the authors of a story about dyslexia in the science comic LUX:plorations Vol. 4.

More workshops will be offered at the Luxembourg Science Center during November (see below). To stay up to date and check out all the offers visit descom.uni.lu. The workshops are carried out by students of the University of Luxembourg in the context of a DESCOM training supported by the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) as well as the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) and the André Losch Fondation.
