Discover our research
At LCSES, we investigate how societies can navigate global environmental crises—such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and resource depletion—through sustainable and equitable development. Our research focuses on systemic, interdisciplinary approaches to understand the complex interactions between human systems and the environment. We study global commons, governance, biodiversity, food security, and energy transitions, aiming to generate knowledge that supports informed policy, fosters resilience, and drives just, science-based transformations for a livable future.
