The Imaging AI group translates recent bleeding edge methods from AI and imaging research to solve concrete biomedical problems

A glimpse into our research

The Imaging AI group, headed by Dr. Andreas Husch, is focused on applying recent AI techniques for biomedical signal analysis and medical image computing to address concrete biomedical questions. Applications cover the classical problems of segmentation, classification, and prediction modelling. On the technological level, we aim towards more robust AI models for medical image computing, in particular by domain adaptation, joint embedding architectures or similar techniques.
The overall objective is to bridge the gap between bleeding edge algorithms from fundamental AI research and their practical implementation in the field of biomedicine. The current focus of applications is addressing neurodegenerative diseases and brain tumors.
