    A first “Science for everyone” workshop in Belval

    In March, the Scienteens Lab has organised its first Science for everyone workshop. The idea behind this initiative? Giving the opportunity to people to discover the Belval campus, the university of Luxembourg and what happens in a research lab.     MitoCarte – Mapping mitochondria

    This past summer, 13 interns spent two months on Campus Belval to participate in a project mixing biology and computer science. The small group composed of high-school students as well as Bachelor and Master students, worked with the Systems Biochemistry research group of the LSCB to put together and develop the MitoMap. What is the MitoMap? An interactive map depicting the chemical reactions – more than 1000 – taking place inside mitochondria, the power-houses of the human cells!
