About

METALINK project is going to apply intelligent monitoring and real-time control systems through 5G technology to improve the surface quality and geometry accuracy of the produced parts that are needed in the MAM industry. This project will look for new process monitoring for an advanced closed-loop control system. Together with industrial advances already made in MAM technologies and using the team’s previous results on Laser MAM, data-driven control, and smart sensors technology this project will strengthen and boost the advances in MAM. Taking advantage of the possible collaboration between the host university (University of Luxembourg) and (Franhoufer – IPT), the METALINK project will then promote exchanges of knowledge and know-how. Also, it has the potential capacity to increase the use of MAM in the industry and provide room for further studies at the fundamental and applied levels.
