About
Building on the EuroCC1 project, EuroCC2 aims to further develop a network of National Competence Centers (NCC) while continuing to address the differences in the maturity of HPC deployment across Europe, for which improvement has already been noted. To achieve this, the focus is on providing high-level management to oversee the progress of the NCCs’ development and to assist national centers in establishing their individual operational frameworks, while leveraging the experience and expertise currently available at both national and European level. The NCC Luxemburg, which includes Luxinnovation, the University of Luxemburg and LuxProvide, actively promotes the use of HPC linked to computing, data analysis and artificial intelligence (HPC-AI/HPDA) but also assists and guides various stakeholders from the private sector (industry) as well as from the public sector (academia, public administration) in navigating the national and European HPC ecosystem. This includes providing consultancy, conducting needs assessments, and offering beginner and advanced training programs. The goal is to onboard stakeholders who use large sets of data, seek to use data more efficiently, or wish to unlock the potential value of data, while providing them with an access to infrastructure.
